The New 2019 FXDR™ 114

The new season is going to bring some new changes, but perhaps the most exciting new change is a brand new motorcycle: the all-new 2019 Harley-Davidson® FXDR™ 114. This bike is the most recent addition to the Softail® family, so you can expect a lot of great features that you love from some of the most iconic bikes in the company, as well as some great new features that are going to make every ride more enjoyable. Powerful Performance

Let’s start with one of the more obvious Harley perks: the power. No Harley-Davidson bike is worth its salt if it isn’t up to the H-D performance standards. That’s why the 2019 FXDR™ 114 comes with one of the most powerful engines from the Harley-Davidson factory yet, the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. This machine comes with more power and more torque than any other model before it, which means you’ll be able to tear up the road and still have complete control over your motorcycle. 

You’ll also get some other great performance features, like the 2-1-2 exhaust that not only gives you a performance boost, but is also going to be responsible for that signature Harley growl that we’ve all come to know and love. Throw in the reimagined Screamin’ Eagle® Heavy Breather--now with an exposed, forward-facing filter element--and you’ll cruise through any town or street with ease and in style.

Smooth Handling

Speaking of ease, no introduction to a Softail motorcycle is complete without a thorough rundown of the suspension system. The FXDR™ 114 comes with the iconic monoshock rear suspension system that has made the Softail family so famous, complete with single coil-over-shock and emulsion technology. This will make every bumpy road a breeze to ride over.

On top of that, you’ll enjoy some of the benefits of the engineering designed drawn from the award-winning Screamin’ Eagle® NHRA drag bikes. This means an inverted racing-style design and matching fork that are specifically designed to improve speed, power, and agility. This maximizes air flow to the engine as well as makes it easier to take even the tightest turns. 

Sleek, Modern, and Lightweight

This is on top of the natural agility of a Softail frame. These frames, like the one you’ll find on the FXDR™ 114, are sleeker to make them easier to handle and more enjoyable to ride. Plus, this particular bike is going to come with a more lightweight frame thanks to the several alloy and composite components that make up the building materials. In general, you’ll have an easier time holding up and maneuvering this bike, and you’ll probably doubly appreciate the tougher, more aggressive look that the Harley engineers have worked tirelessly to perfect.

There are also a handful of bells and whistles to make this more enjoyable, such as a digital riser gauge and keyless ignition. You’ll also get LEDs in front and behind the bike so you can see the road more easily and so that other commuters can see you.
