Harley-Davidson® has upgraded the suspension on the touring family to provide the most comfortable ride yet! The first step taken was to increase the size of the pistons in the front and rear, which created a more uniform dampening response through the travel of the suspension. Next, Harley-Davidson® added on a tool free pre-load adjustment to the back end, allowing riders to freely set their rear shock for a passenger, without ever needing to go looking for the right tool. Finally, Harley-Davidson® added a Showa® Dual Bending Valve front fork, which provides standard model bikes with 117 mm of travel (low models, such as the Ultra Limited Low still get 98 mm of travel from this fork). All together this is the smoothest touring suspension Harley-Davidson® has ever put on a bike.
